Rotary in Herat and the Rule of Law

Currently, Habib works as Senior Case Management Specialist with USAID contractor, Checchi and Company Consulting, Inc. in Afghanistan. He pursued his LL.M. degree in ‘Democratic Governance and Rule of Law’ at Ohio Northern University, college of law. He holds a B.A. degree in Islamic jurisprudence and law from Heart University, a 4-year degree on pedagogy from Islamic University for Science and Technology, and a one-year diploma on Leadership from Institute for Leadership Development (ILD) under American Morning Star Development. Habib has worked in the field of rule of law in Afghanistan since 2008, including working as Senior Program Officer for USIP, where he represented the organization in law review/reform committees. Habib has also worked for Ministry of Justice as Child Act Legislative Drafting Specialist, established and chaired the Law and Human Rights Center in Heart University. He co-authored the book entitled “Family, Property and Inheritance Law” while he worked as Legal Trainer for Norwegian Refugee Council, translated “Leadership and Self-deception” into Dari and taught for ILD in three provinces of Afghanistan. Habib co-founded the Herat Rotary Club in 2013.
