BeesWELL founders, Shannon Burbage and Ronald Perrone have joined forces with Rotary Clubs along the East Coast to host a special fundraiser for a truly noble mission. Operation Jake, named in memory of friend and 173 Airborne Brigade Veteran, Jacob S. Thomas is a bicycle tour down the east coast, from New York to Key West, to seek out veterans to speak with, listen to, and document their stories.  Ron and Shannon intend to give out their BeesWELL Personal Stove and Survival Kit to homeless Veterans along the 2,000 mile bike ride, as a method of opening a dialogue and developing trust with all who they meet along the way. The philanthropists hope to raise awareness about PTSD within communities by documenting each story while giving every Hero they meet a helping hand. These peer-to-peer support engagements help families and survivors begin the long road to healing.
“We aim to bring some valuable, comprehensive information back home, so that when our vets come home we can give them the same protection and service that they have given our country.” – BeesWELL Founders Shannon Burbage and Ronald Perrone
