On July 6, 2013 at the New Zealand Embassy to the United States, 175 Rotarians and guests celebrated the installation of Peter Kyle as the 2013-14 Governor for Rotary District 7620.  Peter Kyle is a member of the Rotary Club of Capitol Hill. This is the club’s first Rotary District Governor.

Capitalizing on Rotary International’s 2013-14 theme, “Engage Rotary, Change Lives,” Governor Peter Kyle urged Rotarians to “Reach Out.

Governor Peter said, “One of the great characteristics of Rotarians is that we reach out.  We reach out regularly in our personal and professional lives.  In many cases we may never meet the people to whom we reach out.  We may never see the impact which our interventions have on other communities.  But still we reach out.  And the ripple effect of 1.2 million Rotarians reaching out each year brings hope and comfort and clean water and treatment for diseases and peace and stability for millions around the world. Many people have reached out to me at critical stages in my life.  I am sure the same is true for everyone in this room.  So my theme for this year is “Reach Out.” As I visit the 64 Clubs in District 7620 I will be encouraging each of you to reach out to others in your Clubs, reach out on your committees and in your communities, reach out to our Interactors, our Rotaractors, our RYLA and Youth Exchange students, reach out to other partners.
